Some classes will be new for second semester in middle and high school. You can review school supply lists to see if you need anything new for second semester on our School Information Page, under Academics. The list is on the right side of the page.
BEFORE SCHOOL SAFETY: We open our doors at 7:45a. Please do not drop off your children earlier in the cold temperatures. The doors are not staffed until this time and the students would be outside in the frigid weather. For their safety, please drop off between 7:45a – 8a. Tardy bell is 8:05a.
DRESS for the WEATHER/EXTRA GEAR: Regardless of grade, we ask that students dress for the weather. As per our Dress Code, shorts may no longer be worn at this time of year. Students should wear the appropriate winter weather gear to school, even if riding the ALCS Shuttle. Please send extra clothing, such as an extra pair of socks, an extra pair of pants, etc. Sometimes, even with the best snow gear, kids end up with some wet clothes after playing at recess, and we do not have extra clothing for them to change into.

ALCS makes every effort to have school on our regularly-scheduled school days. However, in the winter, the weather can change our plans. If school is canceled or delayed, all parents are notified via text message and email (please make sure your phone numbers and emails are up-to-date in the Family Portal [formerly ParentsWeb]).
We also post the information to the announcements section of our website and on our Facebook page. We notify the media and you will find us listed typically as Abundant Life Christian School or Madison - Abundant Life Christian School depending on the station. We make every effort to ensure that all families are aware in the event of a snow day as to prevent inconvenience and frustration. However, it is very helpful if families could watch for the information from us as well when the weather is inclement.
As we celebrate special days this school year (such as birthdays and holidays), we ask that families only bring in prepackaged, individually wrapped treats to share. Due to COVID-19, we are not allowing home baked treats and snacks to be brought in and shared with your student's class. Thank you for your understanding and please contact Mrs. Roades if you have any questions.
Your child's safety is very important to us. Please notify the school by 8:30 am if your child (1) Will be absent for any reason (illness, vacation, medical appts., etc.) OR (2) Will be arriving late for any reason (doctor appointment, car issue, etc.)
-E-Mail attendance to email@example.com (this goes to Mrs. Koon, Mrs. Wright, & Ms. Verbeten). *If you are emailing the teacher(s), please be sure to copy the attendance office!
-Call 608-221-1520 and leave a message on the Attendance Line (1)
The office provides notification to the faculty of attendance. Thank you!
