WI Parental Choice Program

Abundant Life Christian School is an approved Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) school.

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program may provide eligible families with a voucher covering 100% of tuition costs at ACLS. 

2026-2027 APPLICATION WINDOWS

ALCS offers three open application periods for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program: 

  • February 2, 2026 (8am)–February 20, 2026 (11:59pm)
  • April 2, 2026 (8am)–April 20, 2026 (11:59pm)
  • July 2, 2026 (8am)–July 20, 2026 (11:59pm)

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

  • A WPCP voucher covers 100% of tuition.  
  • Students who receive a voucher or are placed on the waiting list must reapply each year to retain their priority.
  • Families who meet the eligibility requirements must apply during an open application window. 

WPCP Income Limits

For the 2026–27 school year, the family income of a student new to a choice program must be at or below the applicable income limit shown in the table below.

  • All students must apply each year. Applications are submitted through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
  • Students who are continuing in a Choice program or were on the waiting list for the same Choice program during prior year do not need to meet the income limits.

Income is determined by Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) on the federal income tax return for the prior calendar year. For the 2026–27 school year, this is based on the 2025 income.

How Do I Apply?

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) provides an online application for parents and legal guardians to apply for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.

If you want to apply for the WPCP voucher at ALCS, you must apply during one of ALCS's open application windows.

START YOUR WPCP APPLICATION

 

New Families to WPCP

Families who have never applied to Abundant Life Christian School through the WPCP and are not currently on the Choice waiting list should:

  1. Complete the WPCP application. Visit the DPI website, complete the online application, and select Abundant Life Christian School as the school you would like your child(ren) to attend.
  2. Verify income. Choose one of the income verification methods explained by DPI.
  3. Verify residency. Submit required proof of residency to ALCS.
  4. Complete the ALCS Admissions Process while you wait to hear whether your student is selected for a voucher:
    • Schedule a Tour
    • Submit an Enrollment Application, Report Card, and IEP/504 Plan, if applicable
    • Schedule a Student Assessment/Interview

PLEASE NOTE

  • ALCS does not offer any English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to English Language Learners (ELL). Students must be able to read, write, speak, and listen in English to be successful in our accelerated curriculum. ALCS is not equipped for regular communication in languages other than English, so all school communications are provided in English.
  • ALCS does not have a special education program. We will review each student's academic needs to determine whether we can serve them successfully. We are not equipped to provide one-to-one assistance or occupational or physical therapy (OT/PT) services. 

 

Current Families in the WPCP Program

Families who currently hold WPCP vouchers or are on the Choice waiting list should:

  1. Complete the WPCP application each year. Visit the DPI website, complete the application, and select Abundant Life Christian School as the school your child(ren)t will continue attending.
  2. Verify residency. Submit required proof of residency to ALCS.

RESIDENCY NOTE: If you move at any time during the application process or school year, you must provide updated residency information to ALCS.

 

Notice of Educational Options

Pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 115.28(54m), notice must be provided regarding the educational options available to all students who are at least three years old but not yet 18 years old.
