Getting involved with your school is the best way to double the impact of your investment here at ALCS!
We invite every family to get involved.
Ways to Get Involved at ALCS
- Volunteer in a Classroom . . . from a helper in Library or Art to a Mystery Reader to a class party helper, our classrooms are a great place to get involved.
- Chaperone a Field Trip . . . whether a walking field trip or heading out for a great adventure, adult chaperons help make field trips happen.
- Plan a class activity or event . . . connect with a teacher and help plan a class activity or event for either learning or community purposes.
- Attend School Events . . . from concerts and plays to athletic outings, the school year is full of events for families to connect and enjoy!
- Plan an event for the school . . . partner with a school organization to plan fun for the entire ALCS family.
- Participate in Parent/Teacher Conferences . . . get to know your teacher and build a great relationship by connecting at conferences.
Get to Know our Challenger Family
Connecting with other families is so important to feeling part of the Challenger Family as well as to maintaining the unity of our Challenger family.
A few ways to get to know each other include:
- Invite a new family for a play date, dinner, or ice cream.
- Set up a play time for the kids in your child's class at a local park.
- Caffeinate! Have a coffee with other moms, dads, or a parent mixer.
- Make time to meet the parents of your child's classmates.

- Pray! Join the Dads in Prayer or Moms in Prayer groups. Contact Mr. Butler or Mrs. Rae
- Athletic Booster Club - support ALCS Athletics . . . contact Athletic Director Mike Thies OR Asst. Athletic Director Luanne Koon
- Fine Arts Booster Club - support the arts at ALCS (art, band, choir, drama, & music) . . . contact Pastor Sarah Karlen or Miss Barbie
- Substitute Teach - serve as a substitute teacher or aide . . . contact Mrs. West
