Getting involved with your school is a great way to make the most of your experience at ALCS. We invite every family to get involved and make an impact in our school community.

Ways to Get Involved

VOLUNTEER IN A CLASSROOM
From helping in the library or art room to being a Mystery Reader or assisting with a class party, our classrooms are a great place to get involved.

CHAPERONE A FIELD TRIP
Whether it's a walking field trip or a day-long adventure, adult chaperons help make field trips possible. 

PLAN A CLASS ACTIVITY OR EVENT
Connect with a teacher and help plan a class activity or event focused on learning or community.

ATTEND SCHOOL EVENTS 
From concerts and plays to athletic events, the school year is full of opportunities for families to connect and enjoy time together.

PLAN AN EVENT FOR THE SCHOOL
Partner with a school organization to plan something fun for the entire ALCS family.

PARTICIPATE IN PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES 
Get to know your child's teacher and build a strong relationship through regular communication.

 

Get to Know our Challenger Family

Connecting with other families is an important part of feeling connected to the Challenger Family and building a strong school community. A few ways to get to know each other include:

INVITE A NEW FAMILY
Invite a new family for a play date, dinner, or ice cream.

PLAN A PLAYTIME 
Plan a play time for the kids in your child's class at a local park.

GRAB A COFFEE
Connect with other parents over coffee or attend a parent mixer.

MEET YOUR CHILD'S CLASSMATES' PARENTS
Make time to get to know the parents of your child's classmates.

 

Connect with ALCS & Make an Impact

Get involved with an ALCS organization and make a positive impact on your school!

PRAYER
Join the Dads in Prayer or Moms in Prayer. Contact Mrs. Rae.

F.A.N. CLUB
Join the F.A.N. Club to support students and staff at ALCS. Contact Mrs. Richmond.

ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB
Support ALCS Athletics. Contact Athletic Director Mike Thies or Asst. Athletic Director Ms. Lawver.

FINE ARTS BOOSTER CLUB
Support the arts at ALCS, including art, band, choir, drama, and music. Contact Fine Arts Director Pastor Sarah Karlen or Miss Barbie.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING
 Serve as a substitute teacher or aide. Contact Miss Haynie or Mrs. Rae.
