The ALCS Elementary Science Fair is held every other year, during the second semester (the even years, 2012, 2014, etc.). The purpose of the Science Fair is to instill in every child the wonder of the God’s creation. One of the best ways a child can learn about God’s order and scientific principles is to investigate His works to discover His principles and natural laws.
All students, Kindergarten – 5th grade will participate in the Science Fair. Students in 1st through 5th grade will earn a grade for this project. Every classroom teacher involved will send more information home prior to the beginning of this project. While appropriate guidance by parents is encouraged, the final project must reflect the student’s ability and work. The culmination of this project is a Science Fair Open House. One evening is set aside for parents, guests and students to come and view all the students’ projects. Student attendance is required for the Science Fair event.
