Admissions Process

Abundant Life Christian School is committed to providing academic excellence in a Christian context. Our specific objective is to teach and nurture students to be successful, enthusiastic about learning, and to achieve to their highest potential academically, spiritually, socially and physically.

There are two phases to the ALCS admissions process. In the first phase, we seek to determine if there is a match between the mission and philosophy of ALCS and what a family is looking for in a Christian education. When that decision is reached, then the formal admissions process begins. The following steps will guide you through our admissions process:

  • Please call the school office to schedule a campus tour. In addition, we encourage students to visit the school for an entire day. Chapel days are ideal (elementary chapel is on Tuesday and middle/high school chapel is on Thursday). This should be a pre-arranged visit in which we match your child up with another student. The purpose of this visit is for your child to become acquainted with ALCS, and for our staff to meet and observe your child.

  • Openings are limited and enrollment applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. To apply for enrollment, complete and return the enrollment application and other requested information (checklist below) to the admissions office with the registration fee and book fee. (The registration fee for first year students is $150.00. The texbook/technology fee is $150.00 for grades K-5, $180.00 for grades 6-8, and $220.00 for grades 9-12.)

  • Call the admissions office to schedule a personal interview for you and your child with Mr. David Haugen, Secondary Principal (7-12th grade) or Mrs. Bobbi Aeschlimann, Elementary Principal (K-6th grade). This time will provide an opportunity to evaluate and assess the possibility of enrollment into our school.
  • After this process is completed, you will be notified by the admissions office regarding your enrollment status.

Please be aware that ALCS has a dress code policy called "Standardized Dress." The clothes that our students wear must be selected from a standardized list of clothing options. There is a specific list of clothing options for elementary, middle and high school. Standardized Physical Education uniforms are also required for students in grades 5-12. Once you have enrolled, information will be sent to you regarding the standardized dress policy for the 2006-07 school year.

Thank you for your interest in partnering with ALCS to train and educate your child. If we can provide you with any further assistance, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 608/221-1520.
