BAKE SALE FOR HAITI – The Elementary Bake Sale for Haiti was a great success today! It continues on Friday, February 5th. We are raising monies to send with Gayle Keapproth and YWAM for Haiti.
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH- Just a reminder that there is no school on February 12th due to teacher in-service.
VISION SCREENING FOR GRADES K4, K, 1, 3, 5, 7 – The date for this screening has been shifted from Thursday, February 4th to Thursday, February 25th. We are very grateful to Heather Okas who has agreed to help us oversee the screening of students. She will need at least 10-12 parents to help out from 8:00-11:30 AM that morning. ). Permission slips will go home next week with students in grades K4, K, 1, 3, 5, and 7. Parents wishing to have a child from any other grade-level screened should contact Mrs. Ferge for a permission slip and to arrange for the screening.
REPORT CARD PICK UP – There are a number of 2nd quarter report cards held at the Main Office. If you have not received your student’s report card, contact the Main Office to see if your student has any fine or hold.
DOCTOR’S SCALE – Our Weight Room scale is no longer functioning, so we are looking for a replacement. We are putting out a request for any used scale for use in our school’s Weight Room. Give us a call if you may be able to help out.
SENIOR GRADUATION MONTAGE – Our Senior Graduation is June 5th, 2010 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Lake City Church Sanctuary. Help ALCS present the graduation audience with a unique DVD presentation using video montage, music, voice and still pictures.
Senior Parents:
• You may submit up to 5 photos of your student from different stages of life.
• In addition, you may submit a few cued, labeled videos or DVD clips of your student as an infant, toddler, musician, athlete, etc for us to choose one (optional)
• Limit the cued clips to 10 – 15 seconds in length per clip.
• Please make sure the scene you want us to use is clearly explained in a note and attach the note to the cued video or DVD.
• Photos and videos submitted will be returned.
• In all your communication with ALCS regarding the senior montage, please include your student’s name on all photos, video cassettes, DVD’s, etc.
