Welcome Miss Erb!

September 12, 2012
By Barbara Wiers

We’ve greatly enjoyed introducing you to our new staff.  I’d like to introduce another of our new staff members to you.

God’s timing is perfect and we knew He had the right Physical Education teacher for us . . . we just had to wait until He was ready to bring her to us!  And – that waiting wasn’t fun.  We were anxious to get started, but God made us wait.  It was worth it because He brought us the ‘just right’ PE teacher – literally - days before school was set to start!

We are so pleased to introduce to you today our new PE teacher . . .

                                                                                                                 Miss Lauren Erb!

Miss Erb exudes big time energy and enthusiasm!  She recently finished an amazing worldwide mission trip and brings her newly enlarged world view to ALCS.  As with all our new staff, we know you are going to welcome Miss Erb and make her feel part of our ALCS family and – quite simply – you are going to love her!

Let me let Miss Erb introduce herself to you in her own words . . .

Hello ALCS Family!

I am Miss Lauren Erb and I am excited to be the new Physical Education teacher at ALCS for all grade levels!  As you may know, I took this position last minute – literally just before the school year began!  But, I know that this was perfect timing in God’s will.  I received my Physical Education teaching degree from University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in January 2010. Since then I have been on an 11 month, 11 country mission trip called The World Race through an organization called Adventures in Missions.  I left in July of 2010 and recently got back in the middle of this past June.  It is an honor to know that my mission now is having the chance to get to know every student who goes to this school.

In our Physical Education classes, I plan to drive my students physically and spiritually. I know God will move in their lives as each class learns to work as the body of Christ while we are being active!

Please join me in praying for :

  • Unity in classes
  • God to move compassion in students’ hearts for others
  • God to be given all the Glory for all we do in the gym
  • Students to see the value in being active for God

Thank you for all those who have been praying already!!  Please feel free to email me anytime with any questions you have at lerb@mail.alcs.us.

Joyfully in Him,
Miss Erb

And, we can’t wait for you to meet Miss Erb!  It’s gonna be an awesome time in Phy Ed this year!!
